New York designer Thomas Paul worked in a silk screening company before launching his own designs in 2001. He started his product line with pillows- eventually branching into ceramics. These plates would be a fun way to fill out your collection of solid color or modestly designed plates. For my own collection of dishes- I choose pieces in black, white or black/white. Rather than limiting myself to one particular set- I can add pieces as I discover them, much like those in the Thomas Paul collection. This route is a way to put together a unique and eclectic set- as well a way to avoid searching for matches when you drop one or two over the years.
