Researchers from the University of Aberdeen have discovered ten possibly new species of deep sea creatures in the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
“It seemed like we were in a scene from Alice Through the Looking Glass,” lead researcher Monty Pried said. “This expedition has revolutionized our thinking about deep-sea life in the Atlantic Ocean. It shows that we cannot just study what lives around the edges of the ocean and ignore the vast array of animals living on the slopes and valleys in the middle of the ocean.”
