When in Bryant Park, Koi.

Stepping in the dark, hyper-modern dining room at Koi is a bit of a shock from the trees and grassy picnic feel of Bryant Park. I suggest starting with the Crispy Rice topped with Tuna Tartar. Only have a bite though, it's a bit rich and filling. It's a great appetizer for sharing. The Yellow Tail Carpaccio was also deeply satisfying- as it was dressed with grapeseed oil and ponzu wasabi with tobiko.

For my main course, I selected (upon recommendation fromt the server) the Kobe Beef Fillet Mignon. The beef accomplishes a velvety excellence and follows nicely with the Blue Fin Tuna Sashimi and the Ball Scallop Sushi.

To sip on, try the Cucumber Martini (gin, muddled cucumber and lemon) before you select a bottle of Sake.
