Pizza in the Wild

Photographer Jonpaul Douglass created a slightly ridiculous photo series, Pizza in Wild, which features pizzas in places they don't belong.  View the two-part series at his online portfolio and check out his blog, which has some pretty fantastic photos involving skittles.

At long last.

It's been four months. I've been swamped at work, in life and seeking a balance. I managed to carve out several hours over a few days during Labor Day Weekend to sift through, select and edit my photos from our last two trips.

The El Yunque Rainforest in Puerto Rico is featured above. View all of my discoveries at Flickr.

Qozop pulled together an adorable series of photos with twenty-somethings posing with older relatives, then swapping looks. Clever, right? Check out the full series here.

I'm enamored with this photo...it takes me back to the handful of childhood years I lived in Monterey, CA.

A peek before the ceremony?

I've been having few lightbulb moments here and there, with my wedding planning. After several hours of tweaking with my best friend from home (remote editing!), I placed the order for my save-the-dates last night.

I'm still sorting out whether or not we will do formal photos before or after the ceremony. I'd love to enjoy socializing (and eating the delicious appetizers I've selected!) with my guests during the cocktail hour, however, it would be amazing to keep the tradition.

I love this photo from Gina Leigh.

Street Sink

One of the wonderful things about Rome: fountains (with what I hear is filtered water) flowing around the streets. I carried a Bobble, ergo, I wasn't concerned with the purity of the water. That aside, the cool fountains were incredibly refreshing for splashing water to clean my hands. I love this photo- a thoughtful citizen left soap.

Ice Creamy Thoughts

Lovely images from Pinterest and Mackin' Ink...because it's very nearly ice cream season in New York City. Have you been to Chinatown Ice Creamy Factory? I'd recommend a scoop of black sesame, a scoop of almond cookie.

Together: Pets & People in Japan Disaster Relief Shelters

I'm a little comforted to read this update on pets and owners offering love and support to each other while sorting the aftermath of the tradegy in Japan. Above, a woman shares her food with a dog in a disaster relief shelter in Japan. View more heartwarming images at Global Animal.

One of those days

...punctuated by nibbling on take-away leftovers while standing up. A celebratory bottle of Prosecco to follow (celebrating the upcoming three-day weekend!)

Clever Things from Kawaiii

Mother's Day is coming- I'm thinking of picking up goodies from around the city that are quintessentially New York and packing them in a box with brown packing paper and this Manhattan Subway Tape.

I've got stacks of polaroids in Maker's Mark holiday gift bags. Perhaps I should invest in one of these clever SSBA Photo Boxes?
