Everlane: Casual Petra Launch

Everlane's New York workspace opened their door to raise a glass in honor of launch of the Casual Petra tote. Bartenders from Tiny's crafted a signature cocktail, The Everlane, with vodka, pomegranate, rosemary and a float of champagne. Stiff and delicious, my cheeks warmed after one.

The Petra Casual is made in in the same factory in Vicenza as the classic Petra designs. The leather is cut thinner and incredibly light in weight,  lending it rest in a slouchy manor. The hardware has been removed from the design and a  subtle contrast piping has been added. Available in classic navy, brown and black, the dimensions are 18" wide x 13" high with an 11" handle.

Brooklyn-based artist Danielle Kroll was on sight drawing sketches of staples that guests shared within their favorite everyday bag (check out the #5ThingsInMyBag  campaign on Instagram and Twitter). Her website is worth a click.  I'm tempted to reach out to her to buy a few pieces for our apartment. 

The Casual Petra opened early access this afternoon for purchase ($285) and will be available to all members tomorrow. If you're in Manhattan, you can have yours within an hour via Everlane Now.

Folli Follie + Birchbox Event

Birchbox and Folli Follie joined forces this past Thursday to host a sparkly and decadent event of shopping, confections and bubbly. To boot, a few stylists from Sarah Potempa were armed with the tools to design perfect buns for guests! 

There were so many tempting accessories and hand bags to invest in at the Greece-born boutique. A charming Bolivian sales woman mentioned that the brand is quite popular across Asia (which is exciting as my husband recently booked us a trip to China, South Korea and Japan for late 2014!). I was familiar with the label, but hadn't previously invested in any items for my personal wardrobe.

I danced circles around the above dove grey hand bag and rose gold key encrusted in crystals until I decided I simply needed them in my life. The hand bag features tender leather and rose gold hardware I'm a mega fan of the luscious metal!

As guests said their good byes, they were offered a bonus Birchbox. I passed mine on to an excited girlfriend at the office. #moregood

2 Park Avenue Beau

Hello Handsome! Love at first sight! The kate spade 2 park avenue beau satchels have tucked themselves away in my wishlist. Maraschino or Sonia Purple? I can't decide...it's like where to brunch- I know every option will be wonderful, but I need to narrow to one!  So lovely and flirty with the structured design and over sized bow!

At $90, the totes are budget friendly. Which color would you choose? I'm leaning towards the champagne and black with a pop of pink pouch.

Clare Vivier Tote

I can't decide if I LOVE this tote, or if it's just a little too "mermaid." I keep returning to it though, so that says something. Perhaps I should embrace what may be an inner mermaid? Check it out at Clare Vivier.

Champagne Leather Tote

Are you one of those people that schleps around 99 things that you probably don't need? I am! But it's nice to be a hero with  the needed band aid, nail file or smartphone screen wipe. This pretty leather tote from Isabel Harvey is spot on for a carry-all with it's neutral champagne color.

Onna Ehrlich Rachel Hobo

One thing I simply could not live without? Carry-alls. Due to an unfortunate pen-leak, I had to eventually part with my favorite grey pocketbook. I stumbled across this AMAZING deal at Livingsocial.... $179 for the Onna Ehrlich Rachael Hobo (regulary $650!). As carried by Cameron Diaz,  Mila Kunis Halle Berry and also seen in the Oprah Magazine and one of my guilty pleasures GCB.  Treat yourself here.

Albeit a bit tricky to coordinate with my ensemble, I'm obsessed with my Sam Edelman Python Ameilie North South tote. It's super light-weight, edgy-chic and holds all my daily comforts with extra room (should I be out shopping:)

Archive Bag

From Pittsburgh designer Jenny N., the Archive Bag in Mushroom Taupe leather is the ULTIMATE carry-all tote. I'd stuff my iPad, make-up, sunglasses and other essentials in for work, plane rides and schlepping up to Zabars for some good cheese and smoked fish.

Caputo & Co

If I were venturing into the American Southwest, I would need to accessorize with pieces from Caputo & Co (I admit I've always had a crush on this region). To boot, you can feel good about buying these pieces: crafted from Guatemalan textiles, the maker works with local non-profits to provide jobs with fair wages. Read more here.
