Naidres
Warm walls, a constant movement, I wandered through the doors to Naidres. I ordered a cappuccino. It's the type of place where you feel wrong asking for skim. I resisted. The case of bakery items tempted- As I watched the barista gingerly craft my coffee, I pointed to the onion and cheese biscuit. A cheap neighborhood breakfast at $4.72. I would pay the same amount at Connecticut Muffin, sans pastry. I took a seat at a wobbly table and opened Mann's Death in Venice. A woman across from me was knee deep in Salinger. A few young faces peaked in and considered stopping in. A firetruck rested at the stop light. I couldn't help but notice that the staff at Naidre's is overtly polite in that Southern sort of way. Perhaps it's the absolutely divine, robust espresso. I
A full menu of breakfast and lunch is offered.
