Pravda

It was late in the evening, a bit chilly outside and a red light glowed down the street. Vadim and I approached, slightly curious by the sexily covert door. Pravda, Russian for truth, rests at the base of a stair case in SoHo. We stepped in. Took a seat. The Russian inspired menu offers an enticing selection of caviar, smoked fish, crab cakes, borscht...to match their seventy varieties of vodka and designer cocktails. The man seated next to us was alone. Awkwardly, he was reading Lolita (...) Perhaps this is his thing. Perhaps he'll be in again next week, with Crime & Punishment. The music was completely off- something tropical that you would expect to hear on the set of a carribean cruise. Try the Vladmir martini: Pravda's own Fig infused vodka with Russian tea syrup.
