Sleeping Girl at The New Museum



Imagine being paid to sleep. Artist Chu Yun views the sleeping woman as a human sculpture. Nearly 170 woman replied to get involved. The subjects are paid $10/hr to take a sleeping pill and settle in as an installation at The New Museum.

"I'm almost surprised when people do not touch a human being in a gallery," said Massimiliano Gioni, director of special exhibitions. "There's a tension created."
