take-out tour, financial district.

Leo's Bagels: Hand-rolled and the real deal. The menu offers a "Broker's Dozen" (14 for the price of 12) as well all the usual suspects: onion, salt bagels, lox and scallion cream cheese. The bagels are quite large and filling. A bit pricy, but a good treat. Servers: slightly disgruntled, but amusing non-the-less.

Shinju
: convenietly located adjacent to the wine shop on Pearl Street, (pick up some sake, or a nice white) this spot is excellent in terms of price for quality and speedy preperation. I love: sweet potato tempura roll, Combo B (Alaskan Roll, Eel Roll and Spicy Tuna roll with Salad and Miso Soup) as well the edamame comes in a generous portion, pork gyozo: brilliant.

Also: super friendly service!

Best of New York Food on Water Street: 24hour deli that will get you a chicken cutlet sandwich or burger at 4:00am, if that's your request. The specialty sandwiches are your best bet. I've ordered from the deli several times and been satisfied 90% of the time. A word to the wise: be careful what you order after lunch hours: clearly leftovers and definitely sub-par.

Koodo Sushi: wonderful for take-out and delivery. Featured on Seamless Web (with a 20% discount), the delivery time is excellent: arriving with rolls cold, kitchen appetizers warm.
I would recommend: K Roll Twist (salmon salad topped with tuna and special sauce). It's claimed to be the best roll of the year. The Oshinko roll adds a nice variety to your meal. The pickled vegetable is a vibrant green and acts like a palate cleanser between fish pieces. For appetizer, I would lean towards the Scallion Pancake. Hearty and savory.

Situated on The British Memorial Garden, Cafe Hanover has little else going for it. Although the selection is decent, most of the items are covered in dust, or past their prime. Grossly overpriced (although expected in the Financial District) and well explained,

"
Ups and Downs:

This place has its ups and downs. Ups are they're 24 hours and only open place after midnight in the area and the kimchi is good. Downs are overpriced "cigarettes $10?" beer 6 pack "$16?", $1.50 for bag of doritos that are marked $.99? Flies in food at buffet and nobody knows english. You make the call."

Review via Menu Pages.

My excuse for frequenting the spot: close proximity to my apartment...and good selection of Vita Coco.
