A fellow photographer introduced me to the work of Merry Alpern after seeing my I Caught You Neighbor post. Born in 1955, Alpern's work reflects raw human indulgence. I'm particularly interested in her "Dirty Windows" series, as it was taken near my Wall Street apartment. I'm curious from where exactly. Her subjects are of female prostitutes with businessmen captured from across a shaft through a bathroom window. Here's a little more.
