Hanne van der Woude (Photography)

Photographer Hanne van der Woude combines her love for the Dutch countryside with her fascination with red heads. Photographs of 150 redheads throughout the Netherlands are published in the book MC1R – Natuurlijk rood haar. (MC1R is the gene that determines skin and hair color). Her interest peaked after reading an English article noting that red heads were becoming an extinct population. She found models by stalking schools and scouring the streets. I'm sort of wishing I had red hair at this moment...
